Press release:
Juvenile Arthritis Research Charity awarded vital funding by Postcode Society Trust
"This funding is a lifeline to our charity as we in turn provide a lifeline to those affected by Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, by providing the support services they need when their child is diagnosed with arthritis." Richard Beesley, Founder of Juvenile Arthritis Research
We are thrilled to announce that Juvenile Arthritis Research has been awarded vital funding from the Postcode SocietyTrust, thanks to the incredible support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery. This funding will significantly help the charity's ongoing efforts to improve the lives of children affected by this condition.
What this funding means for Juvenile Arthritis Research
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is a debilitating condition that affects thousands of children, causing pain, inflammation, and potential long-term disability. Juvenile Arthritis Research has been at the forefront of research aimed at understanding the causes and impacts of juvenile arthritis and pushing for better treatments to help children manage their condition. With this generous grant, awarded by Postcode Society Trust and raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, the charity will be able to accelerate their vital and innovative work, improving early diagnosis, and ensuring that children receive the best possible care and support.
The funding will also support Juvenile Arthritis Research’s initiatives to raise awareness of JIA, offer much-needed resources to families, and provide crucial education to frontline healthcare professionals to recognise the signs and symptoms of JIA. These initiatives provide hope to families facing the challenges of managing this often misunderstood condition.
