On Monday 5 May, Annabelle, together with her friends Ollie, Tijana, Alyssa, George and Thai, completed climbing Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon), Wales' highest peak, to raise awareness and funds for Juvenile Arthritis Research.
Annabelle told us:
We started walking at 1.30am and after about 3 hours of walking and scrambling in the dark, we made it to the top of Yr Wyddfa! We spent half an hour watching the sun rise and this will truly be a picture perfect memory for the rest of our lives.
Another 2 hour walk down and it was safe to say our legs were aching but we were buzzing and ready for some breakfast followed by sleep.
We can proudly say we raised over £550 for Juvenile Arthritis Research!
Annabelle became an ambassador for Juvenile Arthritis Research a few months ago and immediately got stuck in with raising awareness in her community and thinking about what she could do to make a difference. She shared her own JIA story with us which you can read here and it has been inspiring to see her plan and prepare for the Snowdon climb with her friends.
It really does show that JIA doesn't stop her!
Thank you Annabelle, Ollie, Tijana, Alyssa, George and Thai. Your support makes a huge difference to our work supporting children, young people and families affected by arthritis.
