Children's poetry site The Dirigible Balloon chooses Juvenile Arthritis Research for their new project
Here at Juvenile Arthritis Research, we love creative writing and we love poetry. We were lucky enough to have children's poet Kit Weston host a Christmas Poetry workshop for us last year and we know that some of the children and young people we support use poetry as a way of expressing their feelings and coping with their pain.
So we were absolutely thrilled to have been chosen as the children's charity that will benefit from the proceeds of The Dirigible Balloon's new anthology of poems due to be released later this year.
The Dirigible Balloon is a children's poetry webzine featuring new and established poets. "We want to showcase the best poetry that writers for children have to offer," explains Jonathan Humble, Editor of the Dirigible Balloon.
The new anthology is called "Sky Surfing ... Excellent Adventures in a Poetry Balloon" and is due to feature some incredible poets and illustrators. You can read more about the project here.
We hope to share more about this fantastic project later in the year and you can keep up to date with the latest news by following The Dirigible Balloon on Twitter/X.
