How you can support us as an individual

As an individual, you can support us as we search for a cure for juvenile arthritis, and as we raise awareness that children and young people get this horrible condition.

Make a regular donation

Become a supporter of Juvenile Arthritis Research by setting up a regular monthly donation. You can do this through our website.

Make a one-off donation

Your kind donations help us continue both our research and our work to raise awareness about juvenile arthritis, so we can help children and young people get prompt diagnosis, faster treatment and better outcomes. Visit our website.

The JAR Shop

Our unique online shop is packed full of clothing for both children and adults.  As well as clothing specific to those with JIA, we also have a range of designs with wider appeal too! We have carefully chosen our supplier who ensures that the clothing is made with organic cotton, which is ethically produced and farmers are paid a fair price. They are committed to minimising their impact on the environment, with renewable energy, recycling water, and plastic-free packaging. Our clothing can now be shipped internationally! And with the design studio, you can create your own unique clothing.

Fundraising

There are loads of ways you can raise money for Juvenile Arthritis Research. Whether it’s abseiling, a bake sale, charity stall at work or school, running, jumping or being silent for a day, simply choose something that would be fun, and start planning! You could raise funds by selling things (like cakes or crafts) or by being sponsored. Remember that it’s more fun if you get some friends to join you in your challenge, too. Do get in touch with us to let us know what you are planning, and good luck! We can setup a page on give.net that links to Juvenile Arthritis Research, so any money you raise can be given directly through the site (and gift aid can be reclaimed automatically).

Volunteer

There are always things to do to help support a small charity. Whether it’s helping create content for social media, producing infographics based on information we already have, contacting local businesses to explain who we are and what we do, or helping plan events, whatever your skills and interests are, there will be something you can do. So if you have some spare time and would like to help, do get in touch.

Schools and clubs

We can speak at school assemblies and youth clubs to explain what JIA is, and how it affects every aspect of normal life, and what we are trying to do to make life better. We would love to work with your school or club to run a sponsored event to raise awareness of JIA, as well as raising funds for our work, too. Find out more about how your school can support our work.
