How your business can support Juvenile Arthritis Research

At Juvenile Arthritis Research (JAR), we are committed to finding a cure for juvenile idiopathic arthritis, a crippling autoimmune disorder that attacks the joints and affects 1 in every 1,000 children under the age of 16. We also raise awareness that children and young people get arthritis – because greater awareness leads to faster diagnosis, quicker treatment and better outcomes.

There are a number of ways your business can support us. Some of these are below, but please contact us for more information. Download a copy of this information (PDF).

Long-term partnerships, and Charity of the year

Choosing Juvenile Arthritis Research as your charity of the year can show a real commitment for helping children and young people as we try to find a cure for this debilitating condition. By partnering with us, you can also help raise awareness that children and young people get arthritis, helping improve health outcomes and reduce long-term complications.

We will happily come and talk to you about what we do and why, and give presentations to your staff. We can introduce you to a child or young person with juvenile arthritis so you can hear first-hand what life with arthritis is like and how it affects every part of their life.

We'd be delighted to give you a social media shout-out as well as displaying your logo on our supporters page.

Staff magazines

If you have newsletters, emails or magazines that are provided to staff, you could include information about Juvenile Arthritis Research. Help us raise awareness that children and young people get arthritis, and encourage your staff to raise funds to support our work.

Customer newsletters, emails and magazines

If you have newsletters, magazines or emails that you send to customers, why not tell them about your partnership with us? You can help raise awareness of this condition, and help your customers and their families seek early specialist help if they suspect JIA. This itself can help improve health outcomes. You could encourage your customers to get involved, too.

Fundraising at work

Fundraising at work is a great way to get staff and colleagues involved and raise funds for our work. There are hundreds of different things that could be done – a cake sale (perhaps a Bake-Off style competition?), an auction of promises, running, cycling, non-uniform day, or talent show, only your imagination can limit the possibilities!

Staff volunteering

If you have a staff volunteering scheme, encourage them to consider supporting Juvenile Arthritis Research. There are always things to do to help support a small charity. Whether it’s helping create content for social media, producing infographics based on information we already have, helping to raise awareness of who we are and what we do, or helping to plan events.

Donation

As a business, you can donate a percentage of your profits to support Juvenile Arthritis Research. We would proudly display your company logo on our website as a supporter of our work.
