World Arthritis Day 2023

Today, 12 October, is World Arthritis Day - a global day for raising awareness of arthritis. Our focus for World Arthritis Day is to help raise awareness that arthritis affects all ages and the impact it has on the lives of young people with the condition.

We are delighted to introduce you to this video featuring Trinity, one of our young volunteers at Juvenile Arthritis Research. She is an incredible ambassador, helping raise awareness that children get arthritis.

The video has been created by EULAR as part of their World Arthritis Day campaign. You can find out more here.

You'll also find lots of ways of raising awareness on our website.

You could share one of the powerful and inspirational stories of a child or adult living with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). You can find these at www.jarproject.org/stories

You can read and share our posts from young people living with JIA as part of previous World Arthritis Day events.

Sophie shared what a week in her life with JIA is like at https://www.jarproject.org/news/2021/sophie-wad21 and we heard from Chloe and Liz about their experiences of living with arthritis at a young age at https://www.jarproject.org/news/2022/wad22

We have lots of shareable social media posts on our website at www.jarproject.org/word (scroll to the bottom of the page where you will find posts that are easy to share on your own social channels with the click of a button).

This World Arthritis Day you can share this post, read more about children and young people with JIA, share awareness-raising images from our website and social media accounts and get in touch to share your own JIA story so that we can share it in future.
