Support our vital work
Come together with other children and young people with JIA and their families to get involved with some bushcraft activities - den building, s’mores, and more! Teenagers will also learn how to light the bonfire!
The Outdoors Project is a place for children to spend time outdoors, go on mini-adventures and enjoy active, imaginative play. The main focus is on one thing: having a brilliant time! The carefully designed activities are not only exciting and engaging, but they also help children develop valuable life skills along the way. The Outdoors Project's mission is simple: for every child to have the best day ever, making core memories, staying active and going home with rosy cheeks and a big smile!

Here's a selection of some of our previous events.
Children with JIA and their siblings joined us us for a fantastic morning of indoor climbing. Sarah and her family came along and have written this super write-up about the morning.
Children with JIA and their siblings joined us us for a fun evening at the amazing Inflatacity in Ware, Hertfordshire! This is an indoor family fun centre with a difference - they jumped, bounced, hopped and danced through the 14,500 square foot entertainment centre, as they spent time getting to know each other and connecting with other families with JIA. Read Selma's write-up of the event here.
This event took place in central London on 12 October 2025. See our social channels for photos and more information and read the write up from one of the young people attending here.
Children with JIA and their siblings enjoyed a special way to design their own T-shirts, followed by pizza in a fun and relaxed environment. As with all our events, meeting others with the same condition and making new friends was a big part of the day.
Children spent time making some incredible chocolate creations whilst parents/carers had time and space to talk and share experiences.
In this event, children created Easter Crafts, decorated with chocolates.
An event for children with JIA and their siblings, where children were able to meet and handle a wide variety of animals, including rabbits, skinny-pigs, snakes, tortoises and toads!
Led by an excellent published poet, through our online poetry workshop families created some amazing poems. You can find out more on our news page.
